Information Gathered by Professional Impact NJ
The NJ Registry requires you to provide personal information during the application process in order to understand your professional development needs and to assist you with career development opportunities. Personal information will be used to provide you with notices from our training calendar. If any of your personal information changes, it is your responsibility to notify our office in writing.
Your social security number is requested in this application based on the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. 405 and N.J.S.A. 44:10-76, as a means of identification for our internal records and other State databases. Except for scholarship and certain other quality initiative program applicants, provision of your social security number is voluntary and membership in the NJ Registry for Childhood Professionals will not be denied if you refuse to furnish it. If provided, your social security number is not visible to NJ Registry staff and will not be used to verify your identity when calling our office.
Provision of your salary/wage data is optional in the NJ Registry. If provided, your salary/wages are not visible to NJ Registry staff. Salary and wages are only used in aggregate to look at general data, such as the average salary of a particular group of participants, etc.
Once Professional Impact NJ receives your personal information it is transmitted through a secure protocol over the internet by utilizing an SSL encrypted security certificate dedicated to pinjregistry.org. Information for the NJ Registry for Childhood Professionals is then stored electronically on a server in a secure, monitored Network Operations Center.
In order to further enhance the security of your information in the NJ Registry, we have added three "security questions" for you to answer when you log into your NJ Registry profile. Your responses to these security questions will be visible to NJ Registry staff and will be used to verify your identity when you call our office. You may view and edit your responses to the security questions in your NJ Registry profile any time under "My Tools and Settings," "My Security Questions."
Your security and privacy of information are of utmost importance and among our top priorities. However, we cannot guarantee or warranty the security of the information that you transmit to our website.
